Wow!!!! What a great weekend we had during the Founders Festival. We saw all kinds of familiar (and smiling) faces. Thank you for joining us, showing your support, and partaking in a great Farmington tradition. Word on the street says the Festival was a huge success. We know Eclectic Elegance was hopping the whole weekend. We met new friends and reconnected with so many of you. Again, thank you.
Speaking of thanks, we would like to thank all the artisans who helped make our first "Artisans Off The Avenue" a great event. All of the artists had lovely displays of their work and showed off their talents throughout the weekend. Patrons were able to get up close and personal with Dave "our" potter, Kathy "our" painter, and Whitney "our" glass bead maker. Tim Spellman was busy creating awesome caricatures and YaYa Bags, Leah, and Fairy Buttons had a beautiful array of original artwork. Remember, we have a large selection of the artists' work in Eclectic Elegance all year round. Information regarding any of the artists and their work can be found by calling us at 248-478-7220.
Well, if you can believe it, we are busy creating the fall ClubHouse class schedule. Don't forget that every Saturday in August we will be cropping from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All levels of scrapbookers are welcome. On Thursday, September 13th, Heidi Cook of Liberty Street Gardens will teach a fall outdoor container class. This is a great class that will teach you how to plant and maintain a beautiful potted arrangement perfect for the fall season. Heidi has great tips and ideas and this is always a popular class. Speaking of demand, Jodi will be back on Thursday, October 18th to teach another knitting class. This class is for beginners and those of us who may need a little reminder. Jodi's teaching skills make this a very informative and fun class. Times and prices for the fall container and knitting classes are yet to be determined; but you can start marking your calendars with the dates. We will have more information in upcoming weekly Blogs so check us out every Tuesday at www.eclecticelegance.com! Our Girls Night Out scheduled for August 24th has been postponed.
