ClubHouse Chatter From the Purple Building...All Wrapped Up For You!

Welcome to Downtown Farmington!
Eclectic Elegance strongly supports the proposed Streetscape plan for Downtown Farmington. As you can see by the rendering, Streetscape calls for wider and safer sidewalks, outdoor seating, and beautiful landscape. The Purple Building is literally in the center of Downtown Farmington and we look forward to the changes and the incredible possibilities the improvements will bring! The Streetscape will be on the August 5 ballot and we urge all Farmington residents to vote "YES"!!!! The Downtown Development Authority's web site can answer your questions regarding Streetscape. www.downtownfarmington.org

We have already begun planning for the upcoming Farmington Founders Festival. This year as an added bonus, Eclectic Elegance along with other fine Farmington businesses will have "Pre" Founders Festival specials and events beginning Monday, July 14. More information will follow but mark your calendars and plan on joining us for a week's worth of sales, special events, and good times!

Our second annual "Artisans Off The Avenue" will be held once again in our parking lot. Local artists will demonstrate their talents throughout the Founders Festival. Keep reading our weekly Blogs for the latest information regarding "Artisans Off The Avenue".

Two new merchants have joined the Downtown Farmington family. Music Go Round offers a wide selection of new and used musical instruments while offering classes for beginners and those of you born to play. Thomas, the owner of Music Go Round, is a great friend of Eclectic Elegance so we invite you to stop in and say "Hi"! For more groovy information, visit www.musicgoround.com

Bellis Therapeutic Spa is located on Grand River just a little east of the Purple Building. If you need to relax, go to Bellis! For more information on all of the services Bellis has to offer, visit their web site at www.bellismassage.com

Every Friday evening during the summer, Riley Park will be filled with the music of the night. An eclectic array of musicians will entertain you beginning at 7:30 pm. Bring a blanket and sit on the beautiful Pavilion lawn while enjoying the rhythms of local artists. The family friendly atmosphere and lovely Downtown Farmington scenery will surely make a great end to your week. Don't forget to have dinner or dessert (or both?) at one of the fantastic restaurants or ice cream shops in Farmington!
A schedule of the Friday Night Concerts can be found at www.downtownfarmington.org

As always, we wish you a great week. We hope to see you soon in Downtown Farmington and your favorite Purple Building, Eclectic Elegance.
